New Balance signs Premier League winger Kevin Mirallas
New Balance is proud to officially reveal the signing of Everton F.C. and Belgium international Kevin Mirallas.
The midfielder started his career in the French top flight for LOSC Lille and AS Saint-Étienne amassing over 120 appearances in the six year period. In 2010 he moved to Olympiakos F.C. where he scored 34 goals in 52 league matches.
In 2012 he signed for Everton where he has since become a first team regular, scoring 26 goals and helping the club reach new heights. He has also represented his country 50 times playing in the 2008 Olympics and 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Mirallas will wear New Balance’s Furon range of boots. Furon is engineered for those who play for the single, momentous opportunity, the one chance to decide the game and define the outcome. These players thrive under immense pressure and take their opportunity. If the ball drops to a Furon player, it’s Game Over for the opposition.
Upon completing his deal with New Balance, Kevin commented: “New Balance is making a huge impact in football and has big ambitions for the future. This is why I am delighted to be joining the exciting brand. I am already impressed with the Furon boots; they are comfortable, look great and will help elevate my game.”
General Manager of New Balance, Richard Wright, added: “We are really pleased to be welcoming Kevin into the New Balance family. He is a strong and dynamic player who has proved himself in some of the toughest leagues in the world and on the international stage. He is a perfect fit for the brand and we look forward to working together.”
Kit News | Everton’s New Away Kit for 16/17 Season by Umbro
The new Everton away strip is a modern design inspired by two colours from one of Everton’s most historic kits – the striking dark navy and salmon trim strip is a nod to the 1890/91 season when the Toffee’s captured their first ever league crown.
The lightweight jersey is predominantly dark navy with a salmon colour on the inside layer offering a striking visual contrast. The eye-catching salmon also features on the cuffs and V-neck part rib collar.
Diamond mesh technology on the main body of the shirt aids breathability, along with under-arm panels aid ventilation and movement.
Accompanying the jersey, the dark navy shorts have a tailored silhouette with a reduced volume waistband offering optimum comfort and fit. Contrast back detailing in salmon features alongside the Club and Umbro logos.
The dark navy socks feature a contrast salmon hoop and Umbro logo with a cotton footbed provides optimum comfort for 90 minutes and beyond.
Like this season’s home strip, the away shirt celebrates the Club’s historic ground and includes the co-ordinates of Goodison Park inside the neck of the shirt.
The iconic signature of Archibald Leitch’s criss-cross architectural design also features, with Umbro including a Leitch-style graphic above the co-ordinates, so fans and players will have a piece of home with them wherever they go.
Speaking about the new away strip, Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu said: “I feel very confident in this kit and cannot wait for the new season to be able to wear it. The design is nice and I really like it. Deulofeu jokingly added: “I hope to see the fans with my name on their shirts next season!”
Everton’s 2016/17 away kit is available to pre-order now* in men’s, women’s, juniors, infants and babies’ sizes. It will go on sale on 22nd July.
