Kit Launch | Adidas And Juventus Present The Away Jersey For The 2016/17 Season

Adidas And Juventus Present The

Away Jersey For The 2016/17 Season

Drawing inspiration from the club’s own tradition, the new away kit was designed to emphasize the tight bond between Juventus and Italy and to recall the blue jersey worn during the UEFA Champions League in 95/96 season. Hence the idea of the blue colour for the away jersey with a reinterpretation of an all-time classic in a most innovative way.

The away jersey 2016/17 comes with a two-toned blue design creating a dynamic effect which recalls the home jersey’s design.

A crew-neck model, the new away jersey features the adidas white logo on the right and the Juventus crest with three gold stars on the left. The iconic three stripes on the shoulders are white. The collar and the sleeve cuffs are black and white.

To complete the kit: white shorts with the adidas logo in blue and blue socks with white details.

The new away kit will be worn for the first time in one of the pre-season friendly match, during the Australian summer tour.

adizero Technology

The new Authentic kit will allow players to be faster and more comfortable on the field. It is made using a lightweight fabric which increases breathability by providing greater freedom of movement and comfort without sacrificing flexibility and resilience.

The replica jerseys, on the other hand, feature the climacool ventilation technology designed to help keep your body cool and dry through holes, breathable materials, fabrics and special stitchings.

These jerseys are made of recycled polyester, which has a lower impact on the environment as it reduces emissions, and therefore plays a key role in the adidas program to protect the environment and promote sustainability.

The new kit will be on sale from today in all adidas and Juventus official stores, in the main sport retailers and through the adidas and Juventus e-commerce channels worldwide.

The Champions League Trophy

We’re getting extremely excited about the Champions League Final between Juventus and Barcelona on the 06/06/2015 in Berlin, Germany.

So with that in mind we’ve decided to fill you in with some much need knowledge on the Champions League Trophy!

Real Madrid's captain Casillas and team mates celebrate with the trophy after defeating Atletico Madrid in the their Champions League final soccer match at the Luz Stadium in Lisbon

Current holders Real Madrid are out and they leave behind the beautiful Champions League trophy, which stands 73.5cm tall and weighs 7.5kg, is the sixth overall and dates back to 2006.

A rule introduced in the 1968/69 season allowed the cup to become the property of any club which won the competition five times or three years in a row. That means Real Madrid CF, AFC Ajax, FC Bayern München, AC Milan and, since 2005, Liverpool FC all have an original in their trophy rooms. Under new regulations, any club which wins the trophy three consecutive times or five times in total receives a special mark of recognition, with the club then starting a new cycle from zero.

After Real Madrid were allowed to keep the original in 1967, UEFA’s General Secretary, Hans Bangerter, decided to create a new design and called in a local specialist in Berne, Jürg Stadelmann.

“My father Hans and I went along to Herr Bangerter’s office and covered the whole floor with the drawings,” recalled Stadelmann. “He made comments like, ‘The Bulgarians would like the bottom of that. The Spaniards would like that, but the Italians would prefer that and the Germans would go for this bit.’ We put the design together like a jigsaw puzzle. It was a design constituted of many parts yet I like it and I think everyone in football likes it as well.

“I remember that it had to be finished before 28 March,” Stadelmann added, “because I was getting married and taking my wife on a ten-day boat trip to Los Angeles. The trophy took 340 hours to make. I did the finer work, then it was finished off by the engraver, Fred Bänninger. On time, I am glad to say.”

“It may not be an artistic masterpiece,” said the maker of the trophy, “but everybody in football is keen to get their hands on it.”

The GREATEST player of ALL time… and now possibly a boot to match?

The game has changed.

Adidas has identified that there are only two types of player – those that cause chaos and those that control the game. There is only one exception. One exceptional player. The player that can’t be defined because he transcends the game. The greatest player of all time: Leo Messi.

AheMESSI15ad of this weekend’s UEFA Champions League Final in Berlin, adidas has delivered a unique pair of boots that serve Leo Messi’s unique talents. With unmatched skill and uncontrollable ability, he needs the ultimate weapon on his feet. That’s why adidas has created a silo designed solely with one player in mind. There are only two types of players

In the words of Pep Guardiola: “It’s chaos or control…”

For the first time, these two distinct types of player will have their own boots. The old adidas silos have been discontinued. No more F50, no more Predator, no more 11pro and no more Nitrocharge. There is only chaos and control. There is only X and ACE.

ACE15 Hero VisualEvery great team needs the players that keep it on track. That bring the coaches plans into action. They bring order to a chaotic game. Players like Mesut Özil, James Rodríguez, Oscar, Manuel Neuer and Ivan Rakitić are the glue of some of the world’s best teams. For these players, adidas has designed ACE15.

ACE15 is built to control. The revolutionary CONTROL WEB gives ultimate ball control, thanks to an engineered 3D material. A 3-layer compound combines with grippy EVA for an unbeatable touch. A ground breaking new stud configuration puts more studs on the ball during foot-over moves to allow for complete ball control. The unique NSG (Non-stop grip) skin uses 3D dots for perfect control in all conditions. The players that run the show now have the boots to dominate.

X15 Hero VisualSome players can never be controlled. They are the spark that ignites a game. They defy rules and structure. The moment of genius that gets the crowd off their seat – that’s their speciality. There is no defence and no tactic that can control them. These players are specialists in chaos. Thomas Müller, Gareth Bale, Luis Suárez, Karim Benzema and Álvaro Morata, these players strike without a moment’s notice. For them, adidas has created X15.

X15 is the ultimate weapon for the game’s most dangerous players. The TECHFIT COLLAR offers a compression fit around the ankle for superior support and fit. The X-CLAW base is built to give complete traction with a lightweight feel. The innovative X-CAGE is built for the most dynamic and agile players in the world. A fragmented and lightweight design gives ultimate support during the most agile movements. The X-SKIN is made up of a complex three layered system that delivers comfort, protection and performance in any conditions. A game changing product for game changing players.

The Worlds’ best will unleash both the ACE15 and X15 for the first time at the BIGGEST stage there is, the UEFA Champions League Final in Berlin on Saturday 6th June.

These revolutionary new weapons will be available to purchase from Wednesday 1st July at adidas own-retail outlets and specialist retailers worldwide!

Real Madrid’s Adidas 3rd kit & new Adidas adiZERO F50 boots to get debut tonight in Champions League.

Wear It or Fear It.

Real Madrid will wear the recently released adidas third kit and new adidas F50 adiZero boots in tonight’s UEFA Champions League fixture against Ludogorets. Stars including Gareth Bale, Marcelo, Benzema and new signings James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos will wear the all-black kit as Madrid attempt to become the first team ever to retain the UEFA Champions League.

The striking new kit has been designed by Japanese design revolutionary and long term adidas collaborator Yohji Yamamoto, bringing together a global design legend with one of the biggest football clubs in the world. The design collaboration aims to unify the values of Madridismo focused on its two main elements, greatness and determination. Both elements are represented by two mythical beasts which originate from the Eastern culture and are interlaced on the front of the shirt.

  • Dragon king symbolizes the greatness, glory and power of the club
  • Dragon bird, an animal that is able to relive in the most hostile situations, represents the clubs resistance, determination and agility on its way to the victory

The kit is produced in black, Yamamoto’s favourite colour, with white details which contributes to a timeless and elegant look. Following the design of the home and away kit, the shirt is crowned by a mao type collar, a two-colour crest and the signature of the Japanese designer. Furthermore, the kit is equipped with the innovative adizero™ technology that ensures maximum performance for the players. The ultra-light fabric enhances breathability while allowing unparalleled freedom of movement and comfort without compromising elasticity and durability.

In addition to the adizero version of the kit worn by the players on pitch, a special edition collaboration will be available in very limited quantities. 1500 jerseys will be available on selected retailers worldwide and will come in an exclusive packaging (1200 PCS in handmade commemorative box and 300 PCS with an exclusive dragon egg packaging). The exclusive jerseys themselves bear the Yohji Yamamoto’s personal signature and the number 3 representing the iconic three stripes of adidas.

Also released today is the latest limited edition Yohji Yamamoto adizero f50 boot. Following the success of last year’s launch of the Yamamoto adizero f50 boot which drew inspiration from Japanese imperial lion-dogs, the new boots come in a striking blue and green colourway. The traditional design has been placed in the context of Japan’s modern sci-fi culture creating a spiritual connection between the past and the future.

The Yohji Yamamoto designed Real Madrid third kit will be worn by the team on pitch in the new Uefa Champions League season.

This is a top notch jersey design and our favorite to date. The limited edition run will also make this a fine collectors item.
